Using UI to connect with and empower users

Wellness web app for Fitted

Role | Project lead, user testing, UI

The challenge

Through user interviews and competitor analysis, I learned that while users have a high desire to find and commit to a workout platform or program, they are challenged with feelings of discouragement and being overwhelmed by plethora of choices.

Why is this important?

  • Negative emotions toward the product can create trust and loyalty in the Fitted brand, eventually turning users away

  • This may lead users to seek out other platforms

Goals

After conducting user research, three main pain points emerged from potential users:

  1. Finding workouts that user will like and fit into schedule

  2. The vast variety of options feel overwhelming and confusing

  3. Lack of details and tutorials

Considerations and constraints

I was tasked to conduct quick research and test sessions to gather insights and deliver quick solutions

Solution

Fitted allows users to easily navigate and enjoy their experience of incorporating fitness into their lives

  1. Filters and customization
Creating a platform that allows users to smoothly customize and explore options that work best with their criterias for the most ideal workout plan.

  2. Videos and visual assets
Incorporating visual assets such as video tutorials and explanations to go along with written descriptions provides clarity and sets clear expectations.

  3. Scheduling and saving
Providing the ability to schedule and save allows users to integrate fitness into their lives and conveniently access what they enjoy
